Arkitek is small independent design studio and architecture consulting service operated by award-winning Danish architect David Mikkelsen since 2014
With a portfolio of projects ranging from private villas in California to Nature-recovery in China – from World-leading research in experimental robotic manufacturing to delicate restauration of traditional Danish thatched-roofed farmhouses, Arkitek is a versatile and flexible
We believe multicultural respect and understanding of the conditions and motivations for local design is essential in the ongoing development of contextually relevant architecture and I see creative open-mindedness and international inspiration as both necessary for avoiding generic solutions
We are a versatile and ambitious young architecture studio where a passion for good design meets a fascination with the technological advancements of our age and an enthusiastic exploration of the architectural challenges of a dynamically developing globalized world.
